Responsible gaming should be practiced right from the stages of when one looks to learn to play poker from the stage of understanding basics. Poker is played more as an entertainment by as many as 50% of players. Though many are conscious about making money only 50% of them are really doing some homework to make money and only 25% of them make a reasonable amount of winning.
The 25% of the winners figure is meant to refer to people who have optimized their winning. Almost everyone that plays money games does make some real big and small winnings. Sometimes, they make big winnings and sometimes they make very small winnings and when they tend to loose they lose multifold than they actually did earn. The earning from poker is simply not optimized, most tend to either earn or win too much and loose more than they did earn. Only 25% of the players have mastered the technique of minimizing their losses. Poker is not about just winning it means to make more winning and less of losing. The end result of the winning minus losing in poker should yield a positive winning value. If the resultant value is negative, the player is making an unhealthy play.
